Tommy & Gio | A Magical Miami Wedding at The Historic Walton House

The love story of Tommy and Gio is a modern classic.  Modern because they met on Instagram, among other things.  And classic because their love feels so timeless and true.  It’s like Cinderella, but with two princes, and more hashtags–which should clearly be the next Disney movie premise.  The pair met and fell in love almost instantly, and as seen in PEOPLE magazine, they recently made it all official with a romantic ceremony in the jungles of South Florida.  Photographing Tommy and Gio was a rewarding experience because these two draw you in.  They shared themselves with us so easily, and it was impossible not to become their friends. They are the kind of guys where you feel like you know them before actually meeting them, and you miss them after meeting them however briefly.  Maybe we’re speaking for ourselves there, but you get the picture.  These guys are special.  It was an honor for us at Studio Two to photograph this wonderful celebration and to share in their love story.  We hope you enjoy the photos!

Tommy and Gio’s wedding ceremony and reception took place at the Historic Walton House, a lush and tropical retreat outside of Miami, Florida.  The two got ready inside the historic home.  They sipped champagne as they suited up in J.Crew and tied their custom David Fin ties.

We strolled around the beautiful Walton House grounds for some pre-ceremony pictures.  It was magical!

While we finished up our pictures, Alina Moleta and the Walton House staff were setting the stage for a romantic ceremony in the jungle.  The rain that had been predicted never came.

We loved watching our grooms walk down the aisle with their moms!  This was one of our favorite moments of the day.  The four met in the center aisle and all walked together.  The song was a cover of “Your Song” by Jake Coco.  Tommy’s sister, Megs DiDario, officiated.  The two read heartfelt vows to one another, and you’ll see there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

After the ceremony, guests were treated to an outdoor cocktail hour with the wildlife.  The string lights draped between branches turned on as the sun set. The parrots called after you when you walked by! The reception started inside a barn on the Walton House Property and guests dined out on the grounds under tents.

Their first dance was to Il Volo’s version of Can You Feel the Love Tonight?  And the answer was yes!

The dance floor was electric- and this crowd could move.  DJ Jorge Hernandez of Vision DJ’s kept the party going strong.

Before their sparkler send-off, Gio and Tommy signed their marriage license with their best friends as witnesses.  This was one of our favorite moments as well.  There was so much love in this room!

Magical photos that made me feel like I was there. Reminded me of my own Santa Fe wedding in October, 2014. The memories never fade. There is something really special about this couple and I wish them all the best forever and ever.
